Just booked us for the National Stationery Show...woo-hoo!

I'll never forget taking this picture as a nice young man on a bicycle with me as his passenger turned the corner right in front of Cartier permitting me a clear view. Sure glad that's not how I make my living- alas I was in New York for Stationery Show and I've just booked the reservations for Amber and I to attend this year's show.
I remember taking Hayley to her first show and now I am getting to take Amber to hers-just one of the many perks that comes with surrounding yourself with young and talented people.
We look forward to hanging out with other store owners and seeing what's hot and new. You can't beat this show for it's contacts and information. The fact that it is in New York...well, somebody has to do it, right?

lullaby lubbock: crochet circular scarf

lullaby lubbock: crochet circular scarf
Having learned how to knit in second grade as a 4H-er with instruction for our group provided by Sharon Laird's sweet mother, I embarked on a pastime that led to crochet and needlepoint. I highly recommend this to any one who might be interested. I purchase my needle products from Chris at NIMBLEFINGERS. Her cozy shop is located in the center where our first store was located. I try to knit a little wash cloth each time I visit Holly as my dearly departed Aunt Lois used to do and taught her daughter-in-love, Lu Christopher, to do as well. Enjoy!

Finally...we are moving!

It has been since Labor Day that we made the decision to move to Town&Country center next to McCormick&Schmick.
There were days when it seemed like we were close but that was only because we didn't understand how City inspections work.
But we hung in there and let Todd do his job. And just look at those floors.
Who did our floors, you ask? Same people who did our walls in the first store...Victor and Eduard.
So Todd says the last hurdle will be our certificate of occupancy and that should be one day next week.
In the mean time we start moving those boxes tomorrow afternoon. One day next week we will actually be able to invite you in, seat you and marvel at just how much better everything is now that we've moved....can't wait!
